Do cell phones keep their signal during a hurricane?

I live in houston and am currently in the path of Hurricane Ike, and i’m just wondering if my phones gonna have a signal during the storm.
I have T-Mobile if tht helps

    yes they do, if their tower or antenna is not damage or runs out of power (since they have back-up power supply for it).
