How badly will Hurricane Dean hit the Dominican Republic?

Hi, does anyone know how badly the Dominican Republic will be affected by Hurricane Dean? From all reports I’ve seen it appears to be missing most of the island. Also does anyone have any idea if planes flying from there to the UK will be affected? I suppose know one really has any idea, but if anyone knows slightly more than I do, I would greatly appreciate the information

How close should a hurricane be before you evacuate?

wanting the number of hours away a hurricane should be before you evacute (example: the hurricane should be at least 4 hours away from your house.) thanks love ya’ll wit all ma heart id soooo screw all ya’ll (even the ghurls ;) )

Im Moving to Orlando Florida in 2009 to go to College, do you think i’ll be safe regarding hurricane wheather?

I also wanted to know about the crime rate in comparasion to los angelos. I don’t plan to invest property, I just want to live in Florida for about 2 -3 years, knowing the do’s and donts about huricanes. I also heard that orlando hasnt had a direct hit in a while. I was watching the weather channel, and they said new New York City is gonna get hit bad, by a hurricane. I know water temperatures are really warm, and they said thats the reason. Is that even true, or are they just saying that. Explain please.

What do people in Puerto Rico do when a hurricane is coming?

I’m just curious because I just went there for vacation and the fact that the island is so small compared to the rest of the United States made me a little clausterphobic. I wouldn’t know where to go in a hurricane. Is the inland safer or less severely hit in a hurricane because of the mountain?

If a parent takes his children past safety barriers to watch a hurricane, should he be prosecuted?

I just heard about the child killed by the hurricane in spite of barriers prohibiting people from viewing from the area where her family was. If a child drowns in a bathtub after being left alone, the parent is prosecuted for neglect. I think this action is much more egregious. What do you think?
